NEWBIAS CIC
NEWBIAS CIC are a parent-led, arts-based Community Interest Company. They focus on youth re-engagement and community regeneration.
They needed a website to demonstrate the work they do. They provided over 200 photos and we used these to create a randomly generated gallery page and a smaller gallery that was used on various other pages. The website also needed to incorporate NEWBIAS Records which included many embedded videos and audio from various sources.
Pale Park Vineyard
Pale Park Vineyard produces red wine, grown from grapes in their vineyard just outside Bude.
They needed a website to help promote and sell their wine. We created a full responsive website that works well on all sizes of screen and used photos of the vineyard as background images. We added PayPal buttons to allow them to sell wine directly to customers and created a photo gallery to show the journey from planting in 2014 through to producing the first bottles of wine in 2018.
SW FAST
SW FAST (South West First Aid Support & Training) run first aid courses and provide first aid cover.
They needed a simple website to show information about the services that they offer. We created a site that uses a single scrolling page but also built in the option to move any of the sections to their own page at a later date. The website is fully responsive and so adjusts to different devices and screen sizes.
Bude Chamber of Commerce
Bude Chamber of Commerce is an organisation that supports and promotes business development in Bude and the surrounding areas.
The Chamber wanted a new website to display information about the Chamber, its members and events. We used the colours from their existing logo throughout the site and used responsive design techniques to ensure that the site works well on all types of devices. To reduce the administration required, we used automation on some areas of the site. For example, straight after a Chamber event, the event sign up form automatically disappears, the description is updated and the event is moved to the previous events section.
Welcome to Bude
Welcome to Bude is a directory of businesses in the Cornish town of Bude.
The original website had been pieced together over time and needed a complete overhaul. We rebuilt the site from scratch on our new hosting platform, exported all the data from the old site and imported into the new. The site now responds much quicker and works well on all sizes of screen. We are currently developing a custom search engine to work with the site so that it will be easier for customers to find the businesses they are looking for.
Stratton Playgroup
Stratton Playgroup is a nursery just outside Bude, Cornwall.
They wanted a new website that was colourful so we came up with a theme based on the colours of the rainbow and added a slideshow to the front page. They need to be able to update the site themselves, so we implemented a system that allows them the flexibility to add and remove their own text and images. The system automatically deals with the correct fonts and layout, all without the playgroup needing to use any special coding.
Helen Minazza
Helen Minazza is a poet and needed a website to promote her poetry books.
We used the purple colour from the cover of her books to create the theme and laid out sections so that they would adjust and move to work well on different size screens. We added a quotes section to scroll through some of the great feedback Helen had received on Amazon and added randomly changing photos of her readers posing with one of her books. Helen also wanted to be able to add a “Poem of the Week” so we created a system that allows her to enter the poems in advance and then each Monday morning the poem on her home page changes automatically.
